Women by Women

Women by Women is a unique photographic campaign that champions the inspirational stories of women and girls, and the incredible talent of women photographers in the countries where ActionAid works.

Our anti-racist approach to storytelling is authentic and lets women own who they are. Our intention is to never tell a single or stereotyped story about a person or a place. 

Women by Women launched in April 2019. The first photo collection was exhibited at the Oxo Tower in March 2020 and featured in the Guardian, the Times, Stylist, Grazia and Refinery 29; the second, in September 2021, was featured in the Times and the Metro.
